Don't you know I'm still standing better than I ever did/ [Maybe] looking like a true survivor, [definitely] feeling like a little kid…
One year ago, Houndstooth — which had opened its doors just a few months earlier as a holiday popup (and as a full-time small business just a few weeks before the governor’s “stay at home” order) — shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We threw together the e-commerce side of our website, which we didn’t really plan on launching until we were better established. We forced ourselves to learn as much as possible, as quickly as possible, about Instagram Live. And we survived.
That last point is pretty much the only element that went according to plan for Year 1.
You know the rest of the story. You’re living it, too. So let’s look ahead. Because we’re still here, now we get to grow! We’ve already expanded our travel section and “bed room.” We’ve got lots of fun tees, PJs, and raincoats on the way to keep your hounds happy no matter the weather. (Don’t worry, fun tees for you are coming as well!) Our events calendar is filling up.
Our Spring Fashion Show on Instagram Live and Facebook Live, next Sunday, March 28 at 5pm
Monthly Doggie Yoga classes on Instagram Live and Facebook Live — this month, it’s Sunday, March 21 at 10am
An Instagram Live “lunch and learn” with Fast Friends of New Hampshire, in time for Greyhound Adoption Month (April) - date TBD
Coming soon…a return of the Virtual Running Group
And as always, we truly value your feedback. We love it when you ask if we have something — even if we don’t! After all, your queries give us ideas on how we can improve our store. If enough people request the same thing and we can find a source that matches Houndstooth's philosophy — we're trying to stock local (USA/CAN) products that are eco-friendly, have a philanthropic commitment, or (ideally) all three — you'll find it on our shelves as soon as possible.
So, thank you again for your continued support. We’re excited to grow into the shop we originally envisioned…and you wanted. And, of course, to play with your pets. (Yes! Please bring in your pets! Especially if you are looking for something they can wear. Or if they’d like to have another person lavish them with love and praise!)
